We’re looking forward to having you at GurdyWorld 2026! Here’s a handy list of things to bring so you can be comfortable, prepared, and ready to play.
🎵 Your Instrument & Music
- Your hurdy-gurdy

- Music Stand (if you have one)

- Extra strings, rosin, cotton, or other supplies you may need

đź‘• Clothing
New Hampshire weather can be unpredictable, especially in the mountains. Layers are your friend!
- T-shirts/lightweight shirts
- Long-sleeved shirt or sweatshirt
- Warm layer or fleece
- Rain jacket
- Shoes suitable for walking on grass, dirt, or uneven ground
- Shoes for dancing in!
- Bathing suit and beach towels if you want to go swimming.

Even if the forecast looks warm, bring a warm layer and rain gear. Weather can change quickly.
🦟 Outdoor Comfort
At night we have bonfires and sessions, so we will be spending time outdoors, so come prepared!

🍽️ Food & Drinks
All meals are provided for at Geneva Point Center. There is also an on campus ice cream/coffee shop where snacks can be purchased. Down the road from the center is Jo Jo’s Country Store which has everything you’ll ever need for food, snacks, drinks, etc.

Several Last Things
There is internet connection on campus so do not worry, you will have connectivity. There are three beaches where you can go swimming and the lake is wonderful. We are all here to learn and support each other, so do not worry about your abilities whether beginner or advanced learner – we are all sharing the same journey – together.
How to get here and when!
Our Workshop is located at Geneva Point Center. GPC is located at 108 Geneva Point Road in Moultonborough New Hampshire.
Please see this MAP of Geneva Point Center to see where the Chapel is for check-in. You can also see the buildings (Inn, Lakeview Cabins, Chapel Line Cabins, Campground) where you will be staying. All classes are held in the Chapel Building.
Arrival / Check-in Time
Sunday, August 23rd from 2:00 – 3:30pm
Arrive at GPC between 2pm-330pm, and check in with us at the Chapel Building. You’ll meet us and get the information as to where your room/cabin is. You’ll have time to relax if you get there early enough. After that from 330-530pm there will be a Maintenance Class where you will learn about hurdy-gurdy maintenance and if there are specific questions about your own instrument that you need help with – you can ask at this class. After Maintenance, you’ll gather with everyone for dinner at the Inn from 5:45pm-6:15pm. After dinner, you can head back to your room for some rest and then from 7pm onwards there’s a bonfire on the beach!
Outstanding payments at check-in
If you have any outstanding payments (tuition, instrument rentals, food & lodging for partner/friend), please bring a check made out to GurdyWorld for that amount. You can also pay by Venmo or Paypal on the day. Venmo and checks are preferred so that we do not need to pay a fee. If you need the tally for your bill, or you would like to pay it ahead of time via Venmo, please email Noelle at info@gurdyworld.com
